Winter Park Resort - Wild Spur Express Lift Replacement
Alterra Mountain Company commissioned the team to design a maintenance building attached to the new Wild Spur Express chairlift at Winter Park Resort. The building helps improve operations by bringing the ability to maintain the chairs to the field, rather than requiring equipment to be moved to a central location. Although the scope of the building is simple, the project challenges were compounded by the remote site, short building season, and coordination with the installation of the chairlift itself. The building adopts an aesthetic style used on other buildings around the resort, helping to create a uniform feeling across the larger area.
