Winter Park Resort - Zephyr Express Lift Replacement
Alterra Mountain Company commissioned the team to design a high speed gondola replacement for the Zephyr Chair Lift and a new maintenance building at the Winter Park Resort. The work also included the remodel of an existing base building that would be used to house the boiler system serving the adjacent plaza snowmelt and the operator cabin for the Zephyr base terminal. As the main lift tying the base to the Sunspot Mountaintop Lodge, the Zephyr Lift is the year-round linchpin to Winter Park Resort’s guest experience. With these needed upgrades, Winter Park Resort is now able to better meet the higher traffic demands and has the facilities to properly maintain and store their fleet of new gondola cabins.
