Homewood Mountain Resort Gondola
Homewood Mountain Resort tasked us with undertaking the Madden Chair Replacement Project by developing a new 8 passenger detachable gondola capable of 2,400 person per hour capacity. The gondola will be accessible to residents, community members, and visitors for ski mountain access and seasonal scenic rides. The New Gondola project is integral to Homewood Mountain Resorts future mountain development master plan which includes further development at the base and a future mid mountain lodge.
The base terminal was initially designed as a temporary structure but one that can stand on it’s own design to blend with the natural mountain aesthetic. Gabion wire walls with rock infill were used as the primary facade which allows for the reuse of the stone material within the next phase of the project where a new building will be constructed around the base gondola that will connect it to future facilities.
